Agra-Lucknow Expressway Toll Plaza Server Hacked, Hackers asked Ransom in Bitcoin

After the hack, Thousands of dollar could not be transferred to the toll plaza account through fast tag.

According to the report published by Indian local news agency News 18 on 20th Aug. 2019, Hackers hacked the toll plaza server of Agra-Lucknow Expressway in Fatehabad area. Now Hackers asking for a ransom in Bitcoin after the server was hacked. The server is still in control of hackers.

Toll plaza has lost over $20000 due to the server hack. After the server was hacked, Thousands of dollars could not be transferred to the toll plaza account through fast tag.

In this case, FIR has been registered in the Fatehabad police station Uttar Pradesh under the IT Act. Now the hackers have sent a message to the toll plaza's server and asked for a ransom in bitcoin in order to free the server. Initial investigation and sign shows hackers may be foreigners. 

Technical team of the toll plaza has created a new server and started the work. At present, toll plaza officials are waiting for police action.
